Aid Workers Distributing Food & Hygiene Packs
Islamic Relief are currently on the ground in Yemen distributing aid to people who have been displaced by the ongoing violence. 650 families have received food and hygiene kits which provide vital necessities like wheat flour and bathing soap.
“Following a rapid assessment, Islamic Relief has deployed its emergency response team to meet the basic needs of those displaced due to the current insecurity. Through its Aden office, we have provided emergency assistance to 650 families and are gearing up to provide further assistance to the new influx of refugees expected,” said Islamic Relief worker Yousuf Kasujee.
Families are struggling to cope with fuel shortages and the increased cost of food and water in the country, so the aid we have provided should help ease the burden placed on them by the political upheaval.
